The Hawkeye Nationals were an overwhelming success this past weekend in Waterloo, IA!

Over 750+ youth wrestlers from 13 different states participated in the first leg of the 2016-17 Midwest Wrestling Tour.  Young Arena proved once again to be a fantastic venue for the prestigious Iowa tournament.

Custom medals were awarded to wrestlers placing 1st-6th with Champions receiving custom Champion singlets provided by James Roberts and Custom Wrestling Singlets.

We would also like to thank Dan Deery Motors as the event sponsor, the Cedar Valley Sports Commission as well as the Dan Knipp and the Sailor Mat Club for providing the volunteer workforce and table workers.

We are already looking forward to the second leg of the Tour, the Badgerland Nationals held in La Crosse, WI on January 7th-8th, 2017.
